Frequently Asked Questions

Our church has an open-door policy.  Please feel free to ask any question about our church.  Below are some answers to frequently asked questions.

Q: What type of church are you?
A: We are an independent, fundamental, Baptist church.  To learn more about what we believe, please review our doctrinal statement.

Q: Why do you use the King James Version?
A: We believe the KJV is the best English translation of the Bible today.  The KJV was translated with a superior method using formal equivalence meaning that the Bible was translated word for word to convey exact meaning.  The KJV was translated by superior linguists.  The KJV was translated with superior literary results.  Because of these three reasons and for continuity we use it exclusively for all preaching, teaching, public reading, and memorization in all church services.

Q: What kind of music does your church play?
A: We use traditional songs, and hymns and spiritual songs.  Much of the music played today is designed to please those performing it.  We believe that our singing should be pleasing and glorifying to God first and foremost.

Q: What is required for membership?
A: The membership of Kauai Baptist Temple is open to any and all who profess faith in the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, give satisfactory evidence of a new birth, desire to further the cause of the Gospel, have been scripturally baptized by a fundamental authority, and who conscientiously subscribes and submits to the constitution and by-laws of Kauai Baptist Temple.
